questions

Frequently Asked

What types of organizations do you work with? +

Primarily nonprofits, post-secondary institutions, school boards, and public-sector organizations. I also take on select private-sector projects in eCommerce and enterprise SaaS, particularly where accessibility or complex integrations are involved.

What does a typical engagement look like? +

Most projects start with a short discovery call, followed by a scoped proposal with clear deliverables and timeline. I work in two-week sprints with regular check-ins. Engagements range from focused 4-week builds to ongoing fractional CTO partnerships.

Do you work solo or with a team? +

Both. For smaller projects, I handle everything directly. For larger builds, I bring in trusted specialists (design, QA, DevOps) and manage delivery end-to-end. At KnowledgeNow, I lead a full technical team. Either way, you get a single point of accountability.

What's your approach to accessibility? +

Accessibility is built into everything I do, not bolted on at the end. I hold an MLIS with a focus on information architecture, and I've led AODA and WCAG 2.1/2.2 compliance work for organizations like Let's Talk Science, Sensity, and First Nations University. Every project ships with an accessibility review.

Can you work with our existing platform? +

Almost certainly. I've shipped production work on WordPress, Drupal, Moodle, Brightspace, Blackboard, BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento, Salesforce, and custom Node/Python stacks. If your platform isn't on that list, I'll tell you upfront whether I'm the right fit.
